In March 2025 Ascent achieved an important milestone – the AEMS (Autonomous Environmental Monitoring and Surveillance) module was successfully delivered and deployed at the Transport Canada test site!

Just days into testing, AEMS had already faced freezing rain, strong winds, and even a regional power outage—and came through with flying colours.

Thanks to its retractable solar array and integrated battery storage, the module maintained autonomous operation and uninterrupted communication throughout demonstrating a strong early validation of the system’s resilience and readiness for real-world conditions. Now, in its 5th month of operation at a Transport Canada test site, Autonomous Environment Monitoring and Surveillance (AEMS) continues providing environmental monitoring and video surveillance—day and night, in all weather conditions.

This ongoing deployment demonstrates AEMS’s core capabilities in a wide range of real-world conditions.
