It was great to attend #CANSEC2025 again this year—an impressive showcase of innovation, collaboration, and leadership in the defence and security sector. I had the opportunity to explore outstanding exhibits, reconnect with industry partners, and forge new connections.
Highlights included a keynote by former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who emphasized that Canada can continue to count on the United States. Gabrielis Landsbergis, former Foreign Minister of Lithuania and current Member of the European Parliament, delivered a powerful call for the collective West to remain vigilant in defending democracy.
It was also an honour to hear from—and speak with—Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada, Yulia Kovaliv, whose perspective remains deeply important.
Looking forward to continuing the conversations and building on the momentum from this year’s event.
