In May 2024, we participated in the Canadian Defence and Security Conference (CANSEC 2024), organized by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI). Amidst a complex geopolitical landscape, the event highlighted the critical role of advanced technologies, particularly autonomous systems, in strengthening defence and security. The Autonomous Environment Monitoring & Surveillance (AEMS) platform, developed by Ascent Systems Technologies, exemplifies such a technology, offering an integrated solution for autonomous monitoring and situational awareness anywhere in the world, including in the Arctic. The importance of such technologies is evident in Ukraine
, where they play a vital role. We commend CADSI’s efforts in supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom against Russian aggression and for fostering collaboration to address global security challenges.
